We can vote for a “Change”

While I am a Republican….or was…when there was a Republican party…..there is one item that Senator Obama is pushing that I agree with.   It is time for a change.  But the way we will get that change is not by electing a new president.   It is by making all government officials wake up and realize we have had enough!!!

My theory on how to do this:  in November, vote for any new candidate, regardless of their party affiliation.  Trust me, when we get rid of half of the existing US Representatives and Senators, the other half will sit up and take note.  Course, in four more years, we can get rid of them too!!

I am tired of paying taxes to watch the constant waste of our dollars.  You read daily about the 10 million here, the 40 million there and what do we have to show for this money?  More millions being spent to fix the errors made while the original monies were being spent.

No, a President alone can’t fix the problems….and the existing Congress won’t…..  yes, it is time for America to stand up for America and vote for a change.

Pass Christian beach walk

Take a stroll to the beach.  Any time of day is great, it is amazing how peaceful and calming just a ten minute walk by the water can be.  But for you early risers like me, the morning stroll is the most breath taking.  Watching the sun rise over the Gulf is majestic, the colors are vibrant, the waves lapping hypnotic.  It is a great way to get your thoughts and day into perspective and to help you remember throughout the hassles of your busy life that there is still a place to go where beauty surrounds you and nothing is expected of you.   At 114 Elva Drive, the beach view is there even if you don’t like taking the walks.  This 81 x 124 x 81 x 124 lot in east Pass Christian is waiting for the perfect home to be built on it.  Of course, priced at only $42,500.00 it would be a great investment property too!

Yes, yes, you might have noted that I am a Realtor….but remember, if you live on the Coast, the beach is there for your enjoyment whether you live near it or not.   I urge you to walk or drive it as often as you can.  Take that ten minutes and you will soon discover the benefits of the joy, solitude and calming effects the beach can provide you.

Buyers are you ready?

The housing market is still in an uproar, but the market on the MS Gulf Coast is still moving along pretty well.   Thankfully, the after Katrina crush is over and there are homes a plenty, with prices reflecting true market value.  There are great homes in Biloxi, Gulfport, Long Beach, Pass Christian and elsewhere on the Coast in all price ranges.  Sellers are typically very motivated, come see what is available to fit your housing needs.

No free TV part 2

OK Taylor, sounds like the info I received is not 100% correct.  I was told that there would be no free transmission once the conversion was done.  I do understand procress and moving forward….see I am actually on the web now…..but I go back to what are we to do in times of emergency when there is no electricity in the home????

No free TV

Am I mistaken to be bothered?  My understanding is with the new digital TV law passed, come next year the only way to get TV reception is to pay for cable or satellite. Wonder how many people in Congress made a profit off this little deal? While I do have cable, it is my option now, not a law.  What really bothers me is what are we to do in times of an emergency such as Katrina, tornadoes, wildfires, terrorist attacks?   No power, no cable for two weeks plus……at least with a battery operated TV, I could get vital news.  Next time…..guess I will pray that Congress stays out of radio broadcasting.
